It's been a while since we've had a stinker of a Super Bowl.  We've been spoiler in the past decade or so having competitive games.  But in the 90's there were a lot of blow outs and the games were not great.  Last night reminded me of that.  It started on the first play of the game.  The snap over Peyton's head really set the tone.  The Seahawks were a buzzsaw and the Broncos seemed overwhelmed with the moment.  They couldn't do anything right.  Even when it seemed like they started to get things going, they would turn the ball over or make a big mistake.  Seattle looked better in evert area.  It was a shalacking.  I feel for Peyton.  I hate that he is now gonna be considered less elite because of that game.  The guy will hold every record when all is said and done and he did win a ring.  But since he has a losing record in the playoffs, (so does Dan Marino by the way), he isn't in the conversation for greatest of all time.  The guy is a stud. His team let him down last night.  Terrible protection, defense was awful, all of it.  But it will be Peyton's fault.  I don't get it.  I think he is a top 3 QB of all time.

I was stunned by the Hall of Fame inductees this year.  I did not expect to see Aeneas Williams in that group.  I think he was a very good corner but was he ever great?  Maybe, but I still think there were guys in front of him that had better careers.  I'm still shocked that the committee will only put one WR in at a time.  Tim Brown and Marvin Harrison should be in before Andre Reed.  Look at the numbers.  Both have better numbers than Reed.  Especially Harrison.  How he wasn't voted in is crazy.  I'm surprised Jerome Bettis is still waiting too.  The Bus has big time rushing numbers.  I am happy that Ray Guy finally got in.  I never understood how they don't vote punters and kickers in.  They are part of the game.  It's the Pro Football Hall of Fame.  Not just certain position HOF.  Morton Anderson should be in as well.

The whole Super Bowl commercial may be a thing of the past.  I feel like every year there may be one or two good ones and the rest are a let down.  Same with this year.  I sort of liked a couple but there was one stand out.  No doubt the Budweiser salute to the troops and hero's welcome was it.  In case you missed it, check it out...
