My Daughter's Easter Basket

Posted April 21st, 2014 @ 4:31am
I know that most of your think of me as the no-fun, all natural candy, hates holidays lady......but I think I did pretty good this Easter.  Prior to my daughter I would have no problem spending all Easter in my PJ's eating fast food.  For me personally, I don't need nor really care for all the excess involved with holidays.  But since becoming a Mom I know that I needed to step it up a bit for my daughter around holiday time.  Even though we didn't have a traditional "Easter" this year, I think my daughter still had an AMAZING time.  Friday the family all went downtown to celebrate my brother's birthday.  While at dinner my daughter and her cousin both got huge Easter baskets from their grandparents.  Then Saturday my daughter went up to my parents place in Vista for a egg hunt, magician and bouncy house at their community center.  Then yesterday she woke up to her all natural Easter basket, an egg hunt in our backyard which then turned into 20 more egg hunts around the house throughout the day.  So even though my daughters day wasn't filled with chocolate bunnies, brightly colored candies and a big family meal, she still had a super fun Easter.  Hope you had a wonderful weekend too.

Here is the all natural goodie basket I made .......

I hid 22 eggs in our yard.  They were filled with all natural gummies, naturally colored Goldfish, natural graham crackers (shaped like bunnies) and change for her piggy bank..............

She had a blast running around our little yard......
