This week was our neighborhoods annual picnic.  One of the guys who is a history buff and has been living in La Jolla forever brought a bunch of cool historical stuff to the picnic.  I am such a real estate nerd that I loved looking at the map of the Bird Rock neighborhood before they built the homes.  And then I had a real estate orgasm when I saw the price list of what they were selling these lots for back in the day.  Some of these ocean front lots are now selling for between $5M - $15M.  I looked up how much $1,000 back in 1941 would equal today.....$23,000.  I would love to snatch up one of these lots for $23K.   If anyone has a time machine please hit me up ASAP..........
