I am a MASSIVE Dave Matthews Band fan if you didn't know. Now that I am an old lady and a mother I don't have as much time to obsess over DMB as I use to. But this lady is beyond stoked that they are playing Kaaboo Del Mar this year and I've already started upping the rotation of DMB on my playlists. I have met Dave Matthews twice before both were in the early 2000's. The first time we met was in 2001 when he came to do a private show for one of our radio station when I was working up in Nor Cal. It was an early morning, live acoustic performance of his album Everyday for about 25 people. I was in freaking heaven and I even got to write the questions for the DJ in charge of the interview. He was very nice and sounded great but you could tell he was hung-over AF and was excited to get back to the hotel and sleep.
The second time was when I brought my friend Jeni with me to attend a meet and greet before a concert he did in either San Jose or Oakland (stoner brain cells). It was a winter tour he was doing with his friend Tim Reynolds. Dave was a lot less hung over this time and spent more time chatting and signing stuff. He didn't propose or invite me back to the bus or anything but it was still a great night!
