This will be pretty controversial. The NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame released its first list of finalists for the 2021 class. There are a couple of no brainers on the list. So I decided to come up with my 7 guys I think should go in next year. Here ya go:
- Peyton Manning - This is a big of a lock as there has ever been.
- Charles Woodson - Another lock. He is first ballot all day.
- Reggie Wayne - No clue why Wayne didn't get in last year. He has incredible numbers and was dominate. I think he should go in with his QB, Manning.
- Alan Faneca - Another guy that should have gone in last year. He was the dominate guard of his era. He went to the Pro Bowl 9 times! 6 times first team selection and won a Super Bowl. Put him in.
- Richard Seymour - His numbers are crazy too. 7 time Pro Bowler, 3 time first team all pro and a 3 time Super Bowl champ. A great DT.
- John Lynch - I'm pretty surprised he hasn't been put in. The guy was the key to that Tampa D back in the day. The guy was a 9 time Pro Bowler! He is the Ring of Honor for two teams! He should be in.
- Gary Anderson - This always baffles me. Why are there not more kickers, punters and specialty players in? It is a football Hall of Fame. Are they not on the team? Gary set every record for kickers back in the day, including holding the all time points leader for a time. He won't get in, which is a crime.
I also think there should be a spot for FBs. Lorenzo Neal and Mike Alstott should go in but won't. I don't have Calvin Johnson in this year. He should go in, but he will have to wait a year. That is my list. We will see what happens and who gets to go to Canton next year.
