I grew up in Northern California. So our beach day would be packing up the car, driving 45 minutes over a two lane windy highway to get to Santa Cruz. Nine times out of ten you would be burning hot at your house in shorts and a tank top and the second you drove over "the hill" it would all change to fog and cold wind. But the awesome thing about Santa Cruz was the Beach Boardwalk with all the rides and junk food. Here is a picture of me and my brother on a family beach day when I was about 10 years old.........
