It Snowed Today In San Diego County. Really!

Light flurries of snow fell in Mt. Laguna this morning, as shown in video footage from Mt. Laguna Lodge.

San Diego typically enjoys sunny weather in the 70s during May, but this year's weather has been anything but typical. Rain has hit most of the county off and on today with temperatures in the mid-60s, but the day started especially chilly in the San Diego back country, cold enough to bring snow at 6,271 elevation. San Diego County also received snow in May of 2017, so it's not as unusual as you might think.

The forecast is calling for cool temperatures and the chance of rain through this Thursday.
