Research Shows What Age Men & Women Turn Into Their Parents

A study of more than 2,000 people

As much as you may wish otherwise, your DNA will force you to become just like your parents. The question is "when will this go down?" The answer comes from a study done recently by a surgeon in the United Kingdom.

The study revealed that the transformation from you being your awesome, individual self to the people that created you, a whole lot earlier than you might think.

For men, it starts at about the age of 34. This is when most guys start to: remove piercings, regret tattoos, dress more conservatively, and look for hobbies that don't include booze, recreational drugs, and random chicks.

For women, the path is a little less clear. The process takes place somewhere between the age of 30 and 35 for women (33 on average), as they stop rebelling against maternal influences, and begin adopting the styles and tastes of their mothers, like using the same sayings, watching the same TV shows, and taking up the same hobbies.

After completing the study, Dr Julian De Silva commented "We all turn into our parents at some point in our lives, he said. "Becoming parents is the main trigger and lifestyle factors are also important."

De Silva also noted that participants found that they started to feel more like their parents when they started to look like them. This might explain why people want to delay the inevitable, with women now seeking their first cosmetic procedure at the age of 37, and men at the age of 43.
