Woman's Post Shaming Boyfriend's Engagement Ring Choice Is Getting Blasted

A woman found an engagement ring in her boyfriend's nightstand and decided to post a photo stating "Not a fan," and asking for feedback about how to "Tactfully say, no you need to go get something different".  The post has gone viral and people are throwing shade all over her for thinking the ring wasn't good enough, combined with the fact that her boyfriend hadn't even asked for her hand in marriage!

The post read "Ewwwww. Shelf shame Friday here I come. Found this in BF's nightstand. Not a fan. Please roast and then tell me how to tactfully say no you need to go get something different".

Over 25,000 people have commented on Reddit, and they're not being kind.  With comments like "Plot twist, it's not for her," and "I hope he sees this, and then RUNS. To post this degrading shit to social media to first insult it, and then ask for ways to get something better from someone she supposedly loves just defies what this ring should really be about and proves she doesn't even deserve a ring out of a dollar vending machine. This poor, poor man."

When delving into the comments, it appears that there may actually be a "Ring Shaming" group on Facebook, to which readers said, "Just when you think people couldn't possibly get any more petty, materialistic, and stupid, along comes Facebook ring shaming groups apparently. Jesus!"
