Thai Navy SEALS have confirmed that all 12 boys have been rescued from the cave after being trapped for 18 days.
“We are not sure if this is a miracle, a science or what”, the Seals said on their Facebook page.
Lastly the three Navy SEALS and a doctor who were left behind the boys have emerged safely from the cave several hours after the last of the boys and the coach.
The last of the boys were airlifted to the hospital where they joined their teammates that were rescued on Sunday and Monday.
The final rescue began at 10:08 local time on Tuesday morning as the first eight boys recuperated in the hospital. Authorities confirmed that the final rescue mission was not affected by heavy overnight rains in the area.
Two boys rescued that were between the ages of 14 and 16 have shown signs of possible pneumonia and all had very low temperatures when they arrived at the hospital.
The boys will all remain in isolation to avoid the risks of infection. They are also not allowed to eat rich foods yet and are so far only eating diluted porridge, bread and a little bit of chocolate.
