Police Have Found The Riverside Mom That Abandoned 2-Year-Old Daughter At Grocery Store

Police have found the woman in the photo above who abandoned her 2-year-old daughter at a Food 4 Less grocery store in Riverside over the weekend.

Officers responded to a call at Food 4 Less located at 4250 Van Buren Blvd. on Sunday evening when someone called to report that a child had been found alone in the grocery store.

After reviewing surveillance footage, police say that the mother was seen walking into the store with the toddler by her side.  While in the store the 2-year-old wandered off and the mother never tried to find the toddler and instead continued to shop.

While the mother was shopping, another shopper tried to return her child to her and the mother responded, 'oh just leave her.'  The mother then deserted her toddler after paying for her groceries.

The woman in the surveillance video has been identified as 31-year-old Chiengkham "Cindy" Vilaysane.

Police have been on a manhunt for this woman since Monday and her child has been in custody of Child Protective Services during this time.

An employee at a Chase bank in Riverside recognized the woman and asked her for her identification.   She later called authorities to confirm that it was the same woman that left her child.
