Brawl Breaks Out In Chula Vista After Road Rage Incident

A road rage incident ensued between two couples in Chula Vista which ended in an all-out brawl in the middle of the street.

The brawl happened at 3rd ave and "K" Street on Monday.

Cinthia Lara claims she was parked outside of the Mini Mart when she saw two cars moving southbound with horns blaring and threatening to slam into each other.

Lara pulled out her cell phone and started recording the altercation in case it started to escalate.

the couple in the silver car stopped in the middle of 3rd Avenue and blocked the other car in, then got out and started arguing.

"Cars could collide. In this case they impeded traffic. Cars have to drive around them. You could cause another accident not to mention what could happen in a fight,” Chula Vista Police Captain Fritz Reber said.

The fight got vicious as both drivers started throwing punches and the two female  passengers started punching and kicking each other.

Lara said that the woman you see walking away from the fight with a bloodied face was actually the aggressor.

"If someone opened my door and came at me like that yeah. I would definitely defend myself. They opened the car and swung first,” Lara said.

The fight lasted less than 30 seconds.
