A 60-year-old grandmother fought off a man who broke into their Big Bear Lake home and tried going after her 13-year-old granddaughter.
Saturday, the 13-year-old granddaughter found a man standing in her grandma's living room. She then told her grandma that there was a stranger in their living room and immediately ran to hide.
The man tried to follow the teen into the bedroom where he knew she was hiding and the grandmother wouldn't let him get past her and was fighting him back with her cane.
The attacker, later identified as Cody Lynn Mortenson was accused of sexually battering the 60-year-old but she managed to get away. Later she fell and the man continued hitting her.
Mortenson was arrested on suspicion on burglary, sexual batter, false imprisonment and elder abuse.
