Cris Cyborg Cited For Battery After Punching UFC Fighter Angela Magana In The Face

As the 2017 UFC fighter summit brought a little controversy before it came to a close. On the final night of the event, UFC fighter Angela Magana and former Invicta fighter champion Cristiane 'Cyborg' Justino got into a confrontation.

According to police reports Cyborg punched the left side of her face when the two got into a verbal altercation.  Police have reviewed surveillance video that did in fact show Cyborg throwing the first punch and hitting Magana in the face once.  Witnesses immediately jumped in to break up the fight.

Cops say Magana transported herself to the hospital where her doctor diagnosed her with an 'acute head injury, cervical strain and a lacerated lip.'

According to TMZ, Magana returned to her room and called the cops on Cyborg and has taken to social media to spark the controversy:  "I was the victim of roid rage today. Hope it was worth your job. Sue happy lawyers hitting me up left and right now #Cyborg"

According to Magana's Twitter posts, she wasn't the one that called the police on Cyborg and it was the UFC that called the police.

Cops have talked with other fighters who have verified Angela's story.

Police have made contact with Cyborg, but she has yet to issue her statement.  She has been cited for battery and will appear in court.
