Viral video: Little girl gets pulled underwater by a sea lion in British Columbia after sitting on the ledge of a dock while other tourists feed the animal bread crumbs.
The sea lion obviously mistaking her for food or thinking that she had food, was dragged underwater for a brief amount of time. A man jumped in after to save her. The little girl appeared uninjured after the incident.
After reviewing the video SeaWorld expert Eric Otjen said: “With wild sea lions, especially, you don’t want to feed them, you don’t want to interact with them and you definitely don’t want to turn your back on them,"
"[When you feed them], it builds an expectation with the animal that they’re going to get something from you," added Otjen.
