Armed Robber's Gun Disabled By Another Bullet Fired By Deputy

In Aurora Colorado and off duty deputy has been cleared in the shooting of two armed robbers in an apartment  parking lot in January.

Deputy Jose Marquez was with his girlfriend when two armed suspects approached him with their guns drawn.

The deputy was shot multiple times in the chest region and abdomen and one of the suspectes was wounded in the leg. One of Marquez's bullets struck the suspect's pistol, traveling straight down the gun's barrel and disabling it.  Officials say that shot is 'on in a billion.'

None of the shots that hit Marquez were life threatening but Marquez has not returned to duty due to his injuries.
