TMZ has reported that Linkin Park Singer Chester Bennington has commited suicide.
Law enforcement sources say that the singer hanged himself in his private residence Los Angeles. His body was discovered just before 9am this morning.
Chester was married with six kids from two different wives.
Sources say that the singer has struggled with alcohol and drugs for many years and Bennington himself has claimed that he has considered committing suicide because he had been abused as a child by an older man.
Chester was very good friends with Chris Cornell who also killed himself by hanging this last May. Today would have been Cornell's 53rd birthday. Chester played a tribute song to Cornell below and wrote an open letter to Cornell after his death.
