Billie Eilish Just Set A Chart Record That Hasn’t Been Touched Since 1995

Billie Eilish's breakout year just keeps getting more and more impressive. Her latest feat? Breaking a Billboard chart record.

The 17-year-old's latest single "All The Good Girls Go To Hell" ascended to No. 9 on Billboard's Alternative Songs airplay chart dated November 16, making her the first solo female act to record her first four singles in the Top 10. Her debut Alternative Songs entry, "You Should See Me in a Crown," peaked at No. 7 in December 2018. Her first chart topping track, "Bury a Friend," stayed on top for two weeks beginning May 25, followed by her biggest hit to date, "Bad Guy," which sat pretty at No.1 for two weeks in August.

Before the ascension of "All The Good Girls Go To Hell," Eilish was tied with Suzanne Vega and Sheryl Crow as the only solo women to see their first three Alternative Songs entries reach the Top 10. However, the anti-pop star is the first act to do so since 1995.

In August, the singer also became the third woman in history with multiple No. 1 singles on the Alternative Songs chart. With a new single ("everything I wanted") dropping Wednesday (November 13), we wouldn't be surprised if she racked up another Top 10 track.

Eilish is heading on the road next year and is encouraging fans to help fight the climate crisis by offering free concert tickets to those who get involved with Global Citizen. She's set to perform at the Los Angeles stop of iHeartRadio's 2019 Jingle Ball tour in December and ALTerEgo in January before embarking on her sold-out WHERE DO WE GO? tour in March 2020.
