Is San Diego The American City With The Best Weather?

San Diego and Southern California as a whole are known for their great weather. But does the city have the best weather in the whole nation?

A recent study by 24/7 Wall Street set out to determine the American cities with the best weather.

To determine the cities with the best weather, "24/7 Wall St. used data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to create an index based on numerous factors."

Additionally, the website explained, "The cities we considered for best weather are concentrated in just five states: Florida, California, Georgia, Hawaii, and Texas. These states all have significant coastlines. The ocean releases heat relatively slowly compared to land, so coastal areas tend to stay warmer in the summer."

So does San Diego have the best weather in the United States?

Unfortunately, no but the city did come super close to the top spot!

2. Los Angeles, California - 65.4 F
3. Long Beach, California - 64.7 F
4. San Diego, California - 63.6 F
5. Lihue, Hawaii - 75.5 F
6. Kahului, Hawaii - 75.8 F
7. Tampa, Florida - 73.4 F
8. Daytona Beach, Florida - 70.8 F
9. Key West, Florida - 78 F
10. Fort Myers, Florida - 75.1 F
