Who Turned Off The Lights At San Diego International Airport?

Planes are flying again, after San Diego International Airport had to close because of a lighting issue.

The airport says the lighting problem on Sunday was discovered during a routine afternoon inspection, and only impacted lighting along the airport's sole runway.

Crews were able to restore the lights after about 35 minutes.

According to a statement made by the Federal Aviation Administration, the short outage delayed departures to San Diego by 40 minutes.
