Brandi Chastain's New Bronze Hall of Fame Plaque Looks Nothing Like Her

Brandi Chastain's New Hall of Fame Plaque Looks Horrible

Creating someone's likeness in bronze must be extremely tough.

Just ask retired soccer star, Brandi Chastain , who was being remembered and honored for famously celebrating her game-winning shootout kick for the U.S. in the 1999 women's World Cup final against China.

Chastain was inducted into the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame on Monday with the plaque above created in her honor.   The only problem.... doesn't even look like her. In fact it doesn't even look like a female.

Chastain was actually very cool about the whole thing "It's not the most flattering," she told the San Jose Mercury News "But It's Nice."

It was the columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle that had a lot to say about it.  She tweeted: "Brandi Chastain is one of the most beautiful athletes I've ever covered. How this became her plaque is a freaking embarrassment for BASHOF. Makes Cristiano's look perfect."

So, we've established that the plaque doesn't look like Chastain at all, but then again there is Cristiano Ronaldo's bust that looks absolutely horrible.

And then of course Twitter had to weigh in...
