California Bars, Breweries, Wineries & Nightclubs Closed Due To Coronavirus

On Sunday, California Governor Gavin Newsom provided new operating directives for the state in response to the coronavirus outbreak. Along with addressing the state's capabilities in dealing with the outbreak, the Governor announced the closure of bars, breweries, nightclubs, and wineries in California because they do not offer a necessary service.

On Thursday, the Governor stipulated that any gathering with 250 people or more be cancelled.

As of Sunday, the number of coronavirus cases in California was confirmed at 335 - a 14% increase from the day prior. So far there have been 6 deaths associated with the virus.

The governor also asked for the home isolation of all California residents 65 years or older. The governor is also working with officials on options for older Californians to receive food, and other items they might need. Newsom, stated that as the state addresses this health crisis, his priority will be on seniors, those with underlying health issues, and the homeless, because these groups represent the most vulnerable residents of the state.
