The Chinese teenager who wished to remain anonymous, inserted a USB cable approximately 8 inches up his penis before realizing that he could not get the cord back out.
Initially, his parents took him to the hospital where medics applied lubrication and attempted to pull the cable out. Because the boy was in so much pain they could not continue to pull the cable out and had to admit him to a Harbin Children's hospital in China.
Doctor Xu Liyan, urologist, said: "He cut one end off of the cable and inserted it into his urethra. The cable was pushed so far in that it reached his bladder where it tangled and ended up in a knot, so when he tried to pull it back out he was unable."
Doctors had no choice but to operate on the boy.
They had to cut into his bladder to find the knotted cable, cut the tangled section out and then removed the remaining cord through the urethra the same way it went in.
When asked why he did it the 13-year-old boy just responded that he was 'curious' about his genitalia.
