In an article titled "The official fast food French fry power rankings, " Los Angeles Times food columnist Lucas Kwan Peterson published what he refers to as "...the authoritative, totally not subjective, incontrovertibly definitive and 100% correct L.A. Times Fast Food French Fry Rankings." Within hours of being published, a heated debate began about his list and the fact that Southern California's own In-N-Out Burger landed at the bottom of the heap.
Peterson's list was based on his experience at each of the food chains when ordering medium or regular size fries and rating them on: a) taste, and b) texture, which included fry shape and mouthfeel. Here is Peterson's list and a link to his article:
