Mysterious Objects At Area 51 Airbase Photographed By Satellite

Just north of Area 51, sits Tonopah Test Range Airport, which has a history top secret aeronautic activities that goes back decades. Tonopah is now the cause of heavy speculation, as analysts reviewing imagery provided by Planet Labs spotted multiple, large objects protruding from hangars at the airbase.

Speculation has people wondering if the objects are aircraft, spacecraft, or possibly even alien spacecraft.

Tyler Rogoway, who is an avid researcher and author who writes about aviation, the military and Area 51, has reported that the objects were spotted in December of 2019 and again, just recently on March 2, 2020.

Rogoway is not clear on what they objects are, but he has theories,"First off, what exactly are we looking at? It's hard to tell, but it certainly looks like an aircraft. To us it resembles a flying wing and is very similar to the RQ-170 (an unmanned, flying wing aircraft). The light color would also match. The only difference is that this aircraft appears to have a wingspan approaching 80 feet, which is significantly larger than that of the RQ-170."

What Rogoway finds alarming is that previously released Google Earth images have "Clearly been touched-up to conceal the details of the aircraft seen in front of the hangar". He notes that Google does have to comply with local and federal laws, which implies that certain photos may not published for national security reasons. However, Rogoway says "Never before have we seen what appears to be a unique aircraft deliberately blurred in an image."
