Emily told us yesterday how she forgot to buy lemons at the store and was making lemon chicken for dinner. So instead of turning around she remembered there was a lemon tree by her house. So she just pulled over and helped herself. I felt like that was stealing. She said the lemon tree branches were hanging over the fence and going into the sidewalk, thus making it public property. Well, I know where Emily lives, so on the way home I decided to drive by and see if I could spot the lemon tree in question to see what the situation really is. To my shock and horror, it was much worse than I imagined. First of all, there is no parking there. You have to pull over on the curb to park. Then there is a dog in that backyard that didn't like me being there. I can't imagine what he did when the thief was there the day before. But the biggest shock is where the tree branch is. She is correct, it does hang over the fence, but it DOES NOT go into the sidewalk. There is more landscaping there and I have no idea how she even got to the tree!  There had to be some serious maneuvering to get to the lemons. Unreal. Check out the photographic evidence.
