Eddie's Top 10 Christmas Songs!

Ok, it's finally here. The crew has been bugging me to put together a Top 10 Christmas songs list for a few years now. I never wanted to do it because I knew it would be too hard.  And it was!  I needed a Top 50 list!  I kept moving songs in and out and am devastated with who didn't make it. So here we go, here it the official Eddie Top 10 Christmas Songs!

10 - All I Want For Christmas Is You - Mariah Carey - Please calm down. I know this is going to be controversial. It is most people's #1. But I'm not most people. I'm Mr. Christmas. I really like the song. That is why it made my top ten. But there are others that I just like a little more.

9- Winter Wonderland - Johnny Mathis - I don't really know who Johnny Mathis is other than his Christmas stuff and its glorious.

8 - Blue Christmas - Elvis Presley - I really like his version of Silver Bells too. But this one is the goods.

7 - Let It Snow Let It Snow Let It Snow - Dean Martin - I'm pretty sure Deano was drunk when he recorded this. But that is why I like it even more. I like the classics and the standards and it doesn't get much better than this.

6 - Jingle Bell Rock - Hall and Oates - I know Bobby Helms did the original, but give me Hall and Oates all day baby!

5 - Its the Most Wonderful Time Of the Year - Amy Grant - This one instantly makes me come alive. I hear it and it brings me endless joy. I love it.

4 - White Christmas - Andy Williams - Andy was the man. His Christmas stuff is legendary. This one is the best of the bunch. Perfection.

3 - The Christmas Song - Nat King Cole - He was the king for a reason. I love all his Christmas stuff. But this one will get you right in the mood. I hear the first note and instantly think of Christmas.

2 - Its Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas - Michael Buble - BUBLE!

1 - Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy - Bing Crosby & David Bowie - Whoever thought to put these two together must have been crazy. But it worked!  The video that goes along with it makes this for me. This is the gold standard. I can listen to this on repeat and never get tired of it.

So there it is. Whew!  It was hard but I did it. For those of you that are making a playlist, add these songs to it because they came real close to making my list too:

This Christmas - Donny Hathaway

Rockin Around the Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee

Do They Know Its Christmas - Band Aid

Christmas in Hollis - Run DMC

Last Christmas - Wham

Holly Jolly Christmas - Burl Ives

Please Come Home For Christmas - The Eagles

Santa Claus Is Coming to Town - Jackson 5

Frosty the Snowman - Jimmy Durante

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer - Gene Autry

Sleigh Ride - Ronettes

Do You Hear What i Hear - Carrie Underwood

Silent Night - Jewel

Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) - U2

And here is the #1 song on my list.  Enjoy this classic video to the top Christmas song ever!
