So normally my Top 10's involve music. But not this one. With the news yesterday about Aaron Rodgers staying in Green Bay and the blockbuster trade of Russell Wilson to Denver, that got me thinking about how many teams really need a QB. So I'm basing this on teams that are in the best position to win if they had a good QB. So here we go...
- Tennessee - This is a super talented team with a solid head coach. They just need a QB to put them over the top. Ryan Tannehill isn't terrible. But he isn't that good either. They need an upgrade.
- Indianapolis - Carson Wentz is not the answer. I think that ship has sailed. This is a really good roster. I like Frank Reich too. They need to upgrade the position but not sure who is out there they can get to do that.
- Pittsburgh - Big Ben retired, so that leaves a big hole at QB. Obviously Ben has been on the decline for a few seasons and now the cupboard is bare. They need to find the next guy.
- Tampa Bay - No more Tom Brady. So now what? Looks like they are keeping Chris Godwin, so they need a guy to throw them the ball. Not sure who that will be.
- New Orleans - With that defense and Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas back, this could be a good team. But who will be their guy? No Sean Payton either will really hurt. This will be interesting.
- Washington - This team is really puzzling. They seem to play hard for Ron Rivera. Even without a solid QB. I think if they go get a good one, they could challenge the division.
- Carolina - The Sam Darnold experiment didn't work. He is not the guy. So now what? They seem like they want to make a move but not sure they can. Now rumors about Christian McCaffrey being on the trade block makes this an even weirder situation.
- NY Giants - Again, this team has some talent. Not a lot but some. They were supposed to be sleepers last year but that didn't happen. Daniel Jones is not the guy. So they will need to figure out someone who can help this franchise and make Thor happy again.
- Seattle - Clearly a giant hole is there now without Russ. They got Drew Lock in the trade but he will be a career back up. So they need to find the new QB of the future. Could be bad for a while.
- Detroit/Houston - Detroit saw what Matthew Stafford did with a good team around him. So clearly it's the franchise. So they got work to do internally. Houston has a QB but unfortunately he probably won't ever play for them again. So they need to find another one. One of the teams about would give up a lot for DeShaun Watson.
