Yesterday after work and getting Reed at school we got home and Reed wanted to make a Dia De Los Muertos alter since he's been learning about it for a few years. It's such a cool holiday and tradition. I decided next year I want to set up a legit alter the way it's supposed to be....sugar skulls and brig colors and decor! This will do for now. Those are pictures of my Grammy and Poppa. They are the pictures on the right side and when I sent a picture to my mom (it's her parents) she made a joke because the pictures on the left are my dad and her and they're still alive! She was like WTH! haha! Whoops!
Recently I tried butternut squash noodles that you buy ready to go...so I decided to try to do them myself with my attachment for my stand mixer!. They were so good plus really fun for us to make together. I roasted them for a little first with some other veggies like broccoli and asparagus and sauteed some onions and garlic then added the veggies and noodles and made a creamy sauce....it was SO GOOD! Had it with grilled chicken and bread.
