Beachgoer Dies From Jet Blast At St. Maarten Airport

A New Zealand tourist has died after a thrill seeking escapade at Sint Maarten beach.  Tourists in the video are seen trying to withstand the blast of a jet engine.  Finally one man lets go and she remains holding on to the fence.  Finally she lets go and got catapulted into a concrete barrier.

People on scene immediately rushed over and tried to resuscitate her but it appears that she died on impact.

There are signs that warn people not to stand in the pathway of the jet, but it has become a very popular thing to do in Sint Maarten.

Currently it is not illegal to stand at that fence behind the jets as they take off, but according to TMZ, the Sint Maarten police and airport officials will be meeting to discuss new safety measure for that area.
