Friday night I helped take 15 First Grade Girl Scouts camping. I was asked this year if I would volunteer to be a co-leader of our troop. I was told I would basically be a warm body to keep our parent to child ratio in check. I said no problem and when I signed up had no idea that it would include things like taking the girls on an overnight camping trip. Stuff like this just isn't my bag. But I love seeing the girls happy so I just sucked it up and did what I do best....fake it till ya make it! Luckily the Girl Scouts have an amazing camping facility with cabins and all right next to the zoo. I slept horribly and was running on pure adrenaline the whole time but the girls had an AMAZING time. And now all they can talk about is when do we get to go camping again.
