My daughters Girl Scout Troop was invited to be part of a Pinewood Derby. I guess the Boy Scouts do it every year and they figured since they have all the equipment why not offer the girls a chance to compete in their own derby too. I had no idea that you basically all just start with a block of wood and then have to make it into a car. There were very specific weight and length requirements or you couldn't race. Of course the hubby totally got into it and Lovelyn had a great time "helping" and decorating her car which she named Dessert. We didn't win the whole thing but she did have the fastest car in her troop which was pretty cool. Can't wait for next year!
