The 4th of July in Bird Rock is the best. On the 4th it seems like the whole neighborhood comes out to celebrate. There is always a huge parade with homemade floats, kids on bikes, boy & girl scouts, people throwing out candy, etc... Then at the end of the parade there is a huge free party. Everyone donates money and snacks so there is a band, games, drinks, hot dogs, baked goods, balloon animals, face painting and this year there was even a photo booth. The theme this year was "Tiki Time" so we rocked some leis with our red, white and blue. We took our annual picture in front of the house before heading off to the parade and then hit the photo boot with some friends..................
