My daughter has the sickness!!!!  She stayed home from school yesterday a total congested mess.  But of course a few hours after being told she could stay home from school for the day she was feeling much better and was ready to play.  Trying to explain to an 8 year old that they can't go jump on the trampoline in your backyard on a beautiful sunny day is not fun.  But she ended up getting my point of her needing to rest even though she is feeling better so she can go to school the next day.  She had recently got some Pokemon cards when she went to camp over Spring Break.  So I innocently suggested that we should try to learn how to play Pokemon.  How hard could it be, right?  Holy f-word!!!!!  Do I need a freaking PhD to understand this stuff?!?!?!?  After watching 3 different YouTube videos on "easy" and "basic" explanations of how to play Pokemon we gave up.  Then we made up our own way to play with Pokemon cards which was basically just some twisted version of War.  At one point we got stuck so we threw in some Rock, Paper, Scissors to move the game along.  Maybe someday we will actually figure it out.

Out of all the videos I watched I felt this one got me the closest to understanding, but I'm still totally lost.............
