Elfin Forest

I can't believe the school year is almost over for my daughter.  With just a few weeks to go we decided to take the Girl Scout troop on a end of the school year hike followed by a pool party.  I am the furthest thing from a hiker.  I am more of a lets get a good buzz on and take a nature walk type of gal.  But being a co-leader of the Girl Scout troop that is NOT the kind of activities we do.  So our leader picked the spot for our end of the year hike.  Yes it was hot.  Yes it was long.  And yes it was challenging.  But we made it to the top with 15 Second Grade girls!!!!!!  I would like to do the hike again but maybe next time not at the hottest time of the day.  :)
