Now that I am 40 years old and the parent of an 8 year old (going on 18), there are moments I feel totally out of it. I have always thought I was a bit cooler than the normal Mom. I work in rock radio, I like popular music but nope I got nothing on these young kids. Lately my daughter has been coming home with all these new dances. She has names for all of them like the Floss and the Eelectrocutioner and stuff like that. I figured this was stuff that her and her friends were making up. Then I see this trending video on YouTube this morning of dancers trying the Fornite Dance Challenge. Now I see where the kids are getting their moves these days.....from a video game. WTF?!?!?!? Can I just more to the retirement home now?
