I love my sweet husband so much. He is a great hubby and father to our 8 year old daughter. Yesterday was the first day of 3rd grade of our girl. Can't believe how fast it all has gone.....anyway! As we have done the past years going back to TK, the hubby takes a first day of school picture. The picture is pretty much always the same. It is her standing by herself either in front of the school or holding up a little sign in front of the house saying the year and grade. Like this one from TK holding a sign she made herself.......
So yesterday while we are on the air the hubby sends me a picture of the two of them sitting on a rock together in front of the school. What about this picture of them on a rock giving the thumbs up screams first day of school?!?!?!? Cute picture but totally messes up what we have been doing here for the last 4 years. Of course I text him back with some comment like "So what grade are you starting today?". Don't think he got my passive aggressive joke. Guess I will get to make that joke from now to the rest of eternity when I look back at our daughters collage of first day of school pictures...........
