This weekend we took my daughters Girl Scout Troop to a Dude Ranch. We had 17 girls and 12 moms. I am more of a 4 star hotel than Dude Ranch type of gal myself but the girls had soooooo much fun! We woke each morning at 6:30, they gave us 3 meals a day, the girls rode horses, learned about different animals, cleaned stalls, learned archery, had a campfire and more. We were all filthy (look at picture of my ankles....that's not a tan) and exhausted each night but this was one of those weekends that you know your kid will remember their whole life. Lovelyn was the only girl on her troop that hadn't ridden a horse before. She is not a fan of big animals, even medium size dogs will cause her to pause. So she freaked out a bit and didn't want to ride at first. But by the end of the weekend she was in tears to leave and kept begging me to buy "her" horse (the one she rode). If anyone is looking for this kind of experience for their kids they do family weekends, girl scout weekends and summer camps. It's called Rawhide Ranch up in Bonsall. Here are some of my pictures from my weekend..........
