Yep, today is my bday. Today is the exciting day that I turn 41 years old. WTF???? Did I type that wrong, cause it looks like I typed 41....shouldn't that says 21 or at least 31? Forty freaking One years old!!!!! If you have listened to The Show for a long time you know that I am what they like to call a "birthday diva". Or at least I use to be. I use to be the girl that had a 'birthday week" if not a "birthday month". I would count down the days, talk about it all the time, want to go out to a big fancy dinner and have someone make a toast in my honor. I know that sounds crazy to admit, but it was true. Until I turned 40. Last year it was a really busy/crazy time in my life right around my 40th bday. Plus I wasn't too thrilled to admit that I was turning 40. So last year I spent the day by myself at the day spa. Super different for me....but amazing. This year same kind of thing. Super busy/crazy with this house we are gutting and remodeling so this year I legit kept forgetting my birthday was even coming up. Spent the weekend super chill with my family. Tried a few times to organize a fancy get together with family but kept getting shot down. So this weekend I BBQed by the bay with my Mom and brothers family, went to our neighborhood restaurant with hubby and daughter and watched the kids swim while eating and drinking with some friends yesterday. Very different bday weekend than I am use to but I guess this is now how 40+ Sky does bdays. Here is a cute little note the hubby left next to my snacks this morning........
