Yesterday for the 4th year in a row I marched in the La Jolla Christmas Parade. FYI - I was part of the group that supporting changing the name to the La Jolla Holiday Parade but we did not win that battle. Each year since my daughter has been a Girl Scout the troop has marched in the parade. Even though Christmas is not my thing I do my best to fake it for the parade. And with my daughter being 9 going on 19 everything I do embarrasses her. So Mom wearing a silly elf hat and a jingle bracelet, waving and walking down the street was the height of embarrassment for my daughter yesterday. She walked a good dozen people ahead of me at all times. 😊
