The Sky's Old House project is moving along nicely ever since we finally got our permit! If you haven't been following along our house is a mid-century modern. It has those exposed wood ceilings that run through the ENTIRE house. We knew we wanted to sand the ceiling down to fresh wood and then stain it a nice modern stain color. We didn't want it to look too much like a cabin and we also didn't want it to look like a beach cottage. Every time we put a sample up we just weren't happy with it. Then we met a guy who said he knew a guy who is AMAZING with stain. He was right this guy is amazing. Part of me thinks that he might dabble in black magic based on how beautiful his sample has come out. Here are the ceilings that we are dealing with.............

And here is the sample the pro put up. I can't wait to see how beautiful the house will look when the ceiling is done. I have a feeling the ceiling is going to be the first thing people compliment when they walk into our new home. So excited!!!!!
