Mouse In My House!!!!!!

Downfall #2 of indoor/outdoor living....critters in your house!!!! I told you on my blog Monday about how I had a live fly in my mouth this weekend. With us always having these big sliding doors open to our backyard we now have to be aware of the flies whenever we have sweet food or drink out. Didn't think about what other types of critters might want to come in and check out the house too! Yesterday I get home from work to find as usual all the sliders to the back of the house open. The house still smells like paint so in addition to it being beautiful opening all the doors and windows we like to air the paint smell out each day. After I get home, I put my stuff down and then I sit on the bed in our master to look at something on my phone. Out of the corner of my eye I see something moving. But with the breeze and all the construction/moving dust I assume it is a dust bunny blowing by. That is when I look up to see a mouse running right in front of me, past my feet and then behind my nightstand....WTF?!?!?!? I am not scared of the mouse but I am scared of it getting out of our room and then I would have no clue where it would be in the house. So I quickly close up all the doors in the room but still leave the slider open. I am now fully in high alert mode!  I then find where the mouse is and start making loud noises on one side of the room to try and scare it towards the door. Eventually it runs back outside and I close up real quick. My heart was pumping so fast. I decided to try and clam down and also to congratulate myself on a job well done that I would go for a solo swim and soak in the spa. Got a quick picture of the mouse as he was hiding behind my nightstand. He was actually pretty cute...........
