Fun fact....my Mom use to be involved with the city of San Marcos a few years back. My parents moved to San Marcos in the early 2000's. My mom is a do-gooder and always loves to be involved and help. So she quickly became part of the Kiwanis Club of San Marcos among other groups. One of my Mom's big annual fundraisers for the Kiwanis Club was helping with the KenDucky Derby at the annual street fair. I remember she would have like a zillion rubber ducks at her house and I would go over and help her number them. Of course I also would show up at the "big" event to show support. Here is a hot race going on back in 2006..............
