Well after a year and a half of harassment from my daughter, we are now dog owners! She has been asking forever. She had finally proven herself to us and with this being pretty much the only thing she wanted for Christmas we decided it was time. We checked all the shelters and adoption agencies in town and weren't finding the exact type of dog she wanted. Two things she was set on...that it is a small dog and that it be brown. I had talked to a neighborhood friend on Sunday and of course the subject of us looking for a dog came up. She said a friend of hers in North County had just had a litter of puppies. I guess this woman loved her dog so much that she wanted another one exactly like it before it got too old. She she hooked her dog up with another dog from a family wanting to do the same thing via her veterinarian. They agreed to split the litter. This woman got 3 puppies, she was keeping one and getting rid of two. So when I got the text in Target yesterday that this woman would be willing to meet us and see if she would let us have one of her puppies, I freaked out! The problem is only one of the two puppies was part brown. So if we wanted first pick we had to drive to Oceanside ASAP. By 7pm we were driving home with our newest family member, a Maltese/Poodle/Shih Tzu little boy which my daughter has named Nugget.........
