My daughter has been FaceTiming with her friends like crazy lately. Basically once school work is done, if she is not in the pool or eating a meal with us she is FaceTiming with her friends. I'm torn about it. I'm happy that she is still interacting with a group of friends and being social. But I hate all the time on the iPad in her room. So last night I decided to try to get her to come out of her room by having a hot family puzzle night. My Mom gave us a 750 piece puzzle at the start of the whole stay at home order. I haven't done a puzzle in forever and honestly the last one I did was probably a 75 piece not a 750 piece. So once I had the kitchen cleaned up from dinner I went around the house singing "Puzzle Time" and pulled her out of her room. She was interested for a whole 10 minutes and then went back to her friends. The hubby and I spent a good hour working on the outside pieces. It was much harder than I expected. With a glass of wine and some chocolate, I really enjoyed working on the puzzle. Can't wait to get to do more of it this weekend.
