This 4th of July was VERY different for us. I would say it's normally a tie between the 4th of July and Halloween as our most social days of the year. Our little community goes off for both of those holidays. So for the last 7 years every 4th of July has started with our community parade. Then it is normally house jumping between at least 2 to 3 neighborhood house parties. It has become one of my favorite days of the year. Since we are still being super good about the whole stay at home thing we didn't do any of that this year. But I still wanted to have fun so we swam, played with water balloons, watched fireworks from our front yard (one of our neighbors was going nuts with legit fireworks) and then ended the evening by making s'mores. Not the social party day that we are use to but it was still a nice family day.
