My junior year of high school I was on the dance team. The dance team at my high school took itself very seriously. We were basically the only championship team the school had so they let us get away with lots of crap. We would do really well at the Nationals competition each year in Anaheim. So all of our camps and halftime performances all year long were just practice for Nationals. I competed in two different categories, large group and novelty. Novelty was my favorite! We got to wear crazy costumes and do fun themed dances. It was as close as I probably will ever get to my childhood dream of performing on Broadway. Our novelty routine this year was based on the Siegfried Follies which was a production that dominated Broadway in the early 1900's.
