The Show has the week off work last week. "Vacation" is so strange right now. The last few times we have had days off of work the family has just stayed home. As much as I promise myself that I will do a staycation at our house, it never ends up that way. It always ends up with it being a normal week and me just swapping out going to work with doing projects around the house. So we decided we were going to force ourselves to actually vacation and road tripped to Vegas. I was looking for deals at places that you could drive to and the deals in Vegas on rooms right now is CRAZY!!! Just by using our M Life Card (lowest tier, zero points) we got a Fountain View Suite at the Bellagio for $100 a night. We have never been able to afford to stay at the Bellagio before....let alone a Fountain View Suite. I felt so awesome saving so much money on the room that we book a pool cabana for the day which was so much fun.
I am happy to report that everyone at the casinos was wearing masks. All the casinos we went to had security on top of making sure everyone was wearing thier masks. Didn't see one person fighting it, I guess the realize if they make the choice to go there then they are making the choice to wear a mask. It was great. I really enjoyed our pool cabana day because it gave us our own private space by the pool and saved me for a while from my love of slot machines. The family had a great time. It was the first time we brought our daughter and it was perfect. There were zero crowds and the normal Vegas party atmosphere was cut down by about 95%. So if you are looking for a quick getaway even if you just book a killer room and order room service and enjoy the view out your room for 24 hours, I highly recommend it. It felt good to getaway and also to appreciate coming back home again.
