Yesterday was our Girl Scout Troops Halloween party. We had 18 girls all dressed up and (mostly) masked up for an hours worth of backyard Halloween activities. I spent the last few days planning and gathering materials for the party and I didn't even think about a costume for me until yesterday afternoon. I knew I didn't have to go full out cause the girls wouldn't really care but I had to do a little something. So I pulled the cat ears out of the bin, painted on some whiskers and headed out with my daughter. I had two "embarrassing" moments that I didn't see coming. After painting my face and taking this sweet selfie I realized as we pulled up to my friends house for the meeting that I will be wearing a mask so what was the point in painting my face?!?!? Then we finally clean up, drive a few girls home and by the time I get home from the candy filled madness I just want a moment of clam. So I announce to the house that I am going to take Nugget for a quick sunset walk around the block. They all say, great, have a great time and we are off. I immediately notice that all the walkers out are super friendly and have extra big smiles and "good evenings" as they pass. Halfway through my walk I decide to take a sunset selfie and that is when I notice I am still dressed as a cat. Adult woman dressed as a cat, with no children present, just walking a dog like everything is normal....must have been a bit of a sight. Thanks for the heads up family!!!!
