So as you may or may not know, I don't cook! Like not even a little. Every Thanksgiving we go to somebody else's house (normally my parents) and let them do the cooking. I can bring a salad, the rolls or a nice store-bought dessert. I know my zone! But this year with the COVID it was just going to be our small little family of 3. No worries cause I found a great spot that was offering full turkey meals for pre-order or turkey plates for pick-up day of. Since it is just the 3 of us and two of us eat like birds we decided to pick up a plate instead of ordering a whole family meal for 4. The place is closing at 7 on Thanksgiving so I figure if I get there around 3:30 I should be golden. Silly Sky. Guess who was already sold out of "EVERYTHING" as the guy working there put it???? As I walk back to my car in the parking lot I see the glow of Ralphs across the way. I say f-it, I'm gonna give this a shot. Luckily they had one of those displays with everything you need for Thanksgiving on it. Since I only had 2 hours till dinner we went chicken breast instead of turkey. But I must say everything turned out delicious. We had a nice bottle of Sparking Apple Cider to celebrate our accomplishment!
